YUMA, AZ – A tour of a DATE FARM

While in Yuma, we toured Martha’s Garden Farm. This was an incredible tour showed us how Dates are grown, farmed, pollinated, harvested and packaged for the store.

We aboslutely loved this tour, and highly recommend it.

GRANITE MOUNTAIN – HOT SHOTS MEMORIAL HIKE

This unforgettable hike memorializes the 19 Hotshots that perished in a fire in 2013.

There were memorials of all the lost firefighters along the way, displays of their story, the outlook, and the site in which these dedicated men who were trying to save a town lost their lives. In addition, the hike and scenery were awesome!

PETRIFIED FOREST NATIONAL PARK & METEOR CRATER, WINSLOW, Arizona

While in Northern Arizona, we couldn’t resist this Park and these landmarks. We were amzed by the downed trees, that turned into beautiful rocks over 200 million years ago! We toured the Meteor Crater and stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona!

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK

What an incredible adventure this was! We hiked, we biked, we rode the bus, we drove in the truck, all to see all the awesome sights ofGrand Canyon. This was a huge desination for us, and it did not dissappoint!

This stop really surprised us! It had more beauty than we imagined, and we had alot of fun climbing on and around the rocks.

PISMO BEACH, MONTEREY BEACH, PINNACLES NATIONAL PARK

We were so disappointed when arriving at Pismo Beach, due to CoVid 19, but we did have fun with other adventures in the area. We went to Pinnacles National Park, Fishermans Wharf on Monterey Beach, 17 Mile Drive, Pismo Beach, Butterfly Pavilion plus so much more!

KINGS CANYON & SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARKS

The trees, mountains, and animals were plentiful in these parks. We were amazed by the huge trees. We climbed through them, drove through them, and stood in awe of them! We climbed Moro Rock, which was an incredible feat in itself, check out this incredible rock hike. This was in September 2020 when there were many fires in California, so the scenery wasn’t so great, but we are grateful we were able to see these parks when we were in California

Finally! Our Designation to Yosemite was completed. This was a big highlight in our travel plans, and it did not disappoint, even though we had a little bit of a hickup as we were getting ready to leave the campsite.

DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT – Utah / Colorado

After having a flat tire while in the snow, we continue our travels West & then a little south into Utah to stay at Flaming Gorge Reservoir. It was beautiful, but we had only planned a one night stay on our way to Dinosaur National Monument.

After arriving there, we visited the Dinosaur Quarry, did many hikes, saw some petroglyphs and had a great campsite. This area offered such a variety of scenery and we had lots of fun exploring it.

While we were in South Dakota, we had a ton of fun in Rapid CIty looking at the many presidential statues in many corners in the downtown area. We also drove around the Needles highway and through the tunnels.

DEVILS TOWER

The feeling you get while visiting Devils Tower is unexplanable. It’s a huge rock, but amazingly you feel something that you won’t forget. We also had a little mis-adventure and nearly ran out of gas climbing a mountain, with no town for over 40 miles away! Yikes

OUR FIRST FULL TIME ADVENTURE

To Tulsa ?? Why would we go there?

We went to Tulsa Oklahoma to see family and to work on a couple of our properties. Meanwhile we found some great hiking trails and some fun places to go see and do.
